
12 Jun Visiting the Marecchia Valley, Pennabilli and the Buskers Festival
On June 8th the bloggers went discovering the Marecchia Valley, in the hinterland of Rimini.
The route led them to Verucchio [a medieval village situated on a hill bordering with the Republic of San Marino, that is known as the “cradle of the Malatesta family”], San Leo [an ancient town located on an enormous rocky outcropping -which cannot be scaled from any side- that is the gateway to the Montefeltro region] and Petrella Guidi, to finally reach Pennabilli, located in the upper Marecchia Valley, along the western side of Carpegna Mountain and in the Sasso Simone and Simoncello Natural Park. The town is also the chosen residence of the poet Tonino Guerra, recently passed away.
In Pennabilli they found the 16th International Buskers Festival “Artisti in Piazza“.
